Winemaker Notes: "This top-selling Loosen Bros. wine is Ernst Loosen’s "ambassador" for the Mosel region and for the Riesling variety. It embodies the delicate and racy style that is characteristic of Riesling grown in the slate-soil vineyards of the Mosel valley. And, best of all, it delivers this uniquely delicious and invigorating taste at a very affordable price for every day enjoyment. It is a bright, refreshing, fruit-driven wine, with a juicy mid-palate and a crisp, drying finish." https://www.wine.com/product/loosen-bros-dr-l-riesling-2021/980879
Wine Folly: pg.158 general Riesling- The book lists lime, green apple, beeswax, jasmine, and petroleum as aromas for Riesling. The acidity for this variety is listed as high. Wine Folly says that the sweetness of Riesling ranging from very dry to very sweet.
My Review: This wine is not super dry or super sweet. It is a nice medium-sweetness with a sharp acidity. I got lots of apple, pear, and citrus-y flavors in this wine. I would recommend this wine to pair with pork or light seafood. The slight sweetness in this wine would make this wine pair well with a spicy dish.
